Dear Friends, The Norway Post contains an article that may interest you: Kristianhus Boat and Engine museum The Kristianhus Boat and Engine museum, the lifework of Kristian Otterskred, displays a collection of about 200 marine engines, most of them Norwegian, some wooden boats and pieces of fishing tacle. The visitor will get an insight into the development of engine technology from 1905 to 1960. Texts and photos show events connected to the various exhibits. A catalogue is for sale. Small wooden motor boats were for decades the only means of transport for people living along the coast/fjords. A boat was a matter of necessity. The museum is a storehouse of information which will increase the visitor's understanding of the culture of our fjords and coast. Read the full story at: The Norway Post Best regards Vidar Backmann |
