I have been doing something on the engine every day if possible (even if just a tiny job). I fitted brass end caps on the exhaust valve stems to adjust the gap and just finished the timer shaft and bearings. It appears that some of the holes(like the time shaft bearing holes) were "hit-or-miss" as to accuracy. I had to make a lower bearing offset piece to get the bottom end of the timer shaft close to a right angle with the cam shaft. It looks good and the compression seems really good with the new rings.

Good job Tom, that's a fine engine. If it runs half as good as it looks it'll be ok.

TRADE!! Have 2 "primer cup" spark plugs that are different that I would like to trade for two 1/2"
pipe thread primer plugs. Have pictures if interested. Thanks
