I have a NOS Auto Lite, two charge regulator that came with a bunch of NOS marine parts. I says 6 volts so expect it is early 1950s. Model TG-4302-A Ser 6-0051972. I suspect it went on the Palmer Model BH starter generator ca 1950 but really don't know for sure. It was in a bunch of Palmer junk. I do know the early BH had Motorola 6 volt starter generators which flew apart when the engine ran over 2200RPM. They switched to 12 volts and the problem went away with the smaller diameter armature. Knowing the answer won't change the course of history. It will just put a question to rest. Doubt the demad for such regulators is high. |
