I have a 38' 1940 Mathews with 2 Chrysler Flat 8 Inboards with Paragon transmissions. I originally got boat to do minor fix up and sail (spent $6000 on engine rebuilds) but have gotten busy in my practice and do not have time now. Wonder if there is a market for boat and/or engines/transmissions. Chrome is all redone. Boat has been in covered storage past 5 years. Do not have any idea of value or how to do this. Any ideas? Boat is in Buffalo, NY area. Thanks a lot. |

eegrobert, Yes, there is a market for the boat and engines. The best bet would be to try to sell it complete. I don't know value... but you can check the various print and online sources to see what similar boats sell for.
- OldBoat.com
- Antique Classic Boat Society www.acbs.org
- Classic Boating Magazine
- Bone Yard Boats magazine and online
- Wooden Boat Magazine
- etc...
