I've got an engine in a 1974 Coronado 28 that I need a little info about. I'm told its a Palmer 27hp engine, but I could not find that info on the web about that model.
Its an in-line 4 cyl. My questions are:
Which is Cylinder #1?
Is the firing order 1-3-4-2?
Any other info you have about the engine would be appreciated. |

A Palmer P-60. You have the correct firing order ( 1-3-4-2 ) #1 is at the forward end. You have one of the the engines produced shortly before they were discontinued.
I recommend that you put your questions under Palmer Engine Co.. Put P-60 somewhere in the title. Ask questions about more specific problems. You'll find lots of good help on this board. |

Eddie I fell flat on my face with out thinking I told a man the number one cylinder was on the forward end. Unfortunately he had a V drive in his boat and we had a lot of trouble until I realized what his problem was. I now tell people this the number one cylinder is next to the flywheel. Actualy in the the the tractor that cylinder is the number four cylinder but don't tell people that as that will really mess us up. Regards, Dick |
