I am trying to identify the year of manufacture of a Scripps marine engine that I have come across. If the attached photos don't have enough detail please let me know and I can organise more or let me know where to find identifying marks or numbers on the engine. The engine is 12V with delco remy twin ignition and a holley carburettor. The engine is reputed to have once been in a 40' boat. It is in Australia. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

John, Contact Robert Henkel in Michigan. His father Pete Henkel owned the remains of the Scripps engine company and advertised parts and information. I believe Robert Henkel does the same. There are a number of Scripps 12 cylinder motors running here in the US in various antique runabouts about the country. Robert Henkel,e-mail [email protected] |
