Pics of Dick Day's boat

Note on the specs page the ZR 1 turns faster and is bigger than the PNR 1 this is usually not the case. Bigger engines usually turn slower. However the ZR 1 is counterbalanced and the PNR 1 isn't.
The boat was built in the 90's I think and has been in storage since 2000 Dick has owned it for a couple of years
The boat needs paint and some minor fiberglass work. Luckily the varnish in the inside of the deck/engine house is only in need of cleaning. The engine however needs lots of paint removal and a new coat of paint. If you look close at the pics you can see it is surface rust and not cracks. The engine is freshwater cooled. I have it ready to start as soon as the cover is off the boat in the spring.
At Calvert 2014 no but maybe in Coombs Creek for the after Calvert visit.

Great looking engine and interesting reverse gear. I know where there is a counterbalanced NR1, but a ZR1 donated its crank to the project! Nice looking place Ernie, is that lake or river in the background? |

The water in the background is Coombs Creek in Compton, MD.
It is Tidal but not much tide 2 to 3 ft normally.
Coombs Creek is an inlet off Bretton Bay which is on the east side of the Potomac River just north of where it empties into the Chesapeake Bay.
