Did the Palmer 304 IHC ever come with a four barrel setup? IHC never produced one from the factory I think but has anyone seen one aftermarket or adapted to the marine engine? |

Not sure if Palmer used a 4 barrel setup. However if you are looking to put one on a 304 I think the manifold from a 345 will fit. I think the 304 had a weird manifold with 2 side draft carbs. Carter YF's if I remember correct. |

345 on up had a slightly different head. The 345 and 392 manifolds will not fit. I remember the side draft setup, but I have never seen a four barrel setup. My Chilton's has a four barrel listed 1973-74 with different compression ratio, HP and torque, but all the IHC guys on the websites refuse to budge on the notion that the 304 never came with the 4bbl. The marine setup was the best hope, and I still belive it is possible. |
