I am restoring a pre war falls flyer that came with a mounting harness and two fluids cannisters. There should be three. Presumably, each of the three cannisters holds water, oil and gas, but I'm purely speculating. I need to find the third cannister and learn more of the history of this set up as I've never come across them before, and neither has anyone I shared this with in my somewhat limited circle. I've added a link to an image (can't add a small enough file size attachment from my phone) to hopefully spark some 'ah ha!' responses. All help is super appreciated! https://photos.app.goo.gl/xonKWQQzuaReoTw3A |

Looks like a big canteen. I'll check a local shop that has a lot of military surplus, mostly Jeep stuff. To post from your phone email the picture yourself in the medium size and save to your computer, I haven't had much success with shrinking file sizes. It wouldn't be hard to make a close replica from aluminum, weld together and route the edges with a router. It may hold you until you find one. |
