I have a Zenith 63M carb and the gasket/washer on the main jet adjusting screw is badly deteriorated. I have found a rebuild kit for this carb on line but it doesn't include the main jet needle or gasket. Does anyone know of a source or a work-around? Thanks. |

Sorry I don't have a part number. Also I may not have used the correct terminology. It's probably not called a gasket or washer. Rather, it is the packing gland that keeps fuel from leaking past the main jet needle. When the locking nut is tightened down it also prevents the needle from backing out. The original dates to 1959 and it appears to have been made of leather. It is now crumbling. I just tried a nitirile O-ring but it wasn't thick enough to provide a seal. When the locking nut is tightened down I can still turn the needle. Any ideas would be appreciated. |

Looks like the Zenith 63M2E12 Carb covers a lot of bases. IE the 226 and 244 CI 6 cylinder engines. brattons.co/zenith carburetor rebuild kits |
