hi all I have a penguin that has a frozen top casing I have removed the nut and tried to get it off but I think it is rusted on does anyone have any ideas as to remove it thanks.

If it has been running in seawater, I think it's going to be a major challenge and internally it might not be worth the effort.

it was used in the Brisbane river.then the boat that it was in was parked under a house for 30years.it still has paint on it.

You will get the water jacket off but it may/will take time.

Is it one of the straight sided ones or tapered? If it's tapered than it will be more difficult.

You need to soak it in something that seeps like kero or ATF (mix some acetone with it but is a fire hazard) and tap away at it gently to start with every day or two. Hardwood or plastic wedges can be used if you can start them at the bottom but take care as it's cast iron and brittle.

I had one that took nearly a year.

i soaked it in kero for 6 months.ile try your hints thaks for your help.

try worming it a little with a torch not hot and let it cool the expanding and contraction will help to loosen it up
