Does anyone out there have a Mohawk engine with its timing gears intact. I need to reverse engineer the gears for my Mohawk and while I have the gear that is on the timer shaft I don't have the gear that is attached to the back of the flywheel. Some photos of the gears with the covers off would be great. Thanks very much. |

The ratio for a two cycle engine is 1 to 1, firing every time the piston is up. Therefore, the gear on the crankshaft and the gear driving the timer are identical in diametric pitch and number of teeth. The only variation would be shaft size and configuration. Hope this helps. Keith, |
