Have a 4 cyl marine engine that I can't seem to get any info on. Has Acadia embossed in in the castings of block, manifold, trans. Block and trans is all in one casting. Acadia was manufactured in N.S. Canada but seems to be only M&B engines. Did the Google thing Only item that looks close to this engine is a Universal Atomic 4. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Phillip

Acadia did make some bigger 4 cylinder 4 strokes. Here is a pic courtesy of Stan Grayson's One Lung Book.
Does this look like what you have?

I also believe Acadia marinized some Hercules or Continental blocks in their last years

Hope this helps
Ernie

The Acadia engine has a flat head 4 cyl top. Motor and transmission appear to be all one piece. It is presently under a large pile of stuff at the back shed of an boat shop. Will see if can dig it out and get some picks and ID. Owner said it was properly decommissioned for storage many years ago. Here's hoping.

I think there was a quote on the Grayson book that the engines shown in the advertisement were used in RCMP launches at one time.
