Hello,
I am the new owner of a pretty unknown Acadia engine model AD30 which I found out is a marinized version of an Hercules diesel engine.
Does anybody already heard about this model? Never found anybody knowing it and the only thing related to this I was able to find is the tech handbook for the hercule engine itself (not the acadia marinized version).
A picture of the identification plate I just found. Look like I have the number 17 so must be some other out there. My engine identification plate

That sounds like an interesting engine. Can we see more pictures?
If the serial numbers on their Diesel engines were anything like their two cycle has engines, then they are pretty much useless for dating an engine or figuring out how many were built.

Ahh. I was going to suggest you check out Hercules, ..and then I looked at your original post again and saw you already had that.
My family's boat when growing up had a pair of them, Marinized and badged as "B&W Lathrop" diesels engines from Mystic Connecticut.
If your engine is naturally aspirated it is 110 to 115 hp (not sure which). Ours were inter-cooled and turbocharged, and rated at 155 hp. They are rated at 2800 RPM. Ours were installed in1964, so they were built in 1963 or 64. I hope this helps. Mystic Seaport has one in their collection. It has a RousaMaster injector pump, (correct?)
