Hope someone can help. Have failed to find any information via google on the weight of a 12 hp twin. Engine was shown in an Atkin design from the early 50s, so maybe a PNR-2. Any weights listed with a gearbox? Thanks in advance. Ian

I have an earlier catalog listing a NR2 10-12HP at 750 lbs.They show a reverse gear but don't give a weight.

Thankyou very much J.B. I found an advert this morning in the back of a 1952 copy of Motorboating that gave the weight of 775lbs, for a ZR-2 which i guess is a tuned 12 as it makes 18hp.
That gives me a lot of leeway on engine and tankage for this particular boat. Thanks for the response.

Palmer used the ZR-2 cylinder bore 5-1/2" with the PNR-2 bore on same casting 5" weight was 75 lbs less than the ZR-2. Keep in mind the reverse gear on the early PNR-1 and was overloaded on the PNR-2 and ZR-2 They changed from the NR reverse gear. The one with the Separate covers on the Clutch/Reverse gear on later production. The single cover is the later clutch/reverse gear. The weight for the ZR-2 with the later clutch was 775 lbs.
