I�m working on a nice complete engine and would like to know what color the engine was painted? Also where can I get some original grease cups for the crank? |

Most of them that I have seen were painted black but dunno if that was the factory colour.
Black will make your shiny brass stand out.
I think Richard Durgee can help you figure out what style of grease cup your engine should have from the advertising info.

I just had a look at three different gas Kahlenbergs and all had the Lunkenheimer "Marine No.-" grease cups with the "T" handles. That is probably pretty conclusive, but Kahlenberg Bros. are still going in Two Rivers WI and can probably tell you for sure what was used.
Even better, they probably have the original sales records if you have the engine serial number.
