New at posting on this site please forgive my ignorance. My first pic is the laying of the chine and round stern. She will have juniper bottom and sides, white oak chines/keel/, and a black walnut stern. |

Second picture shows side planking the bottom. It is hard to tell, but she rockers up about 2.5in from midship to bow. |

Jb, Iam trying to build the boat like an old crab bateau from my area. The only difference is that I wanted a round stern on her. No plans. Just a lot of reading. I was told by a couple of old boat builders in the area, "you build by the rack of eye and the grace of god". The boat will be 17'6" and will have a beam of 55". |
