hello I am looking to buy a motor boat that has a 5hp acadia in it. I am wondering if someone could explain to me how these engines work and the trick to get it in astern? thanks |

Acadia are two cycle, two port gasoline engines that use make and break ignition and Schebler Model D carburetor. During the early 1900s many technical books were published that explain engine operation. These have been digitized and can be read on-line or printed copies can be purchased at very attractive price, less than $20 from indigo.ca or other on line book sellers. Here is a link to a very useful book that is recommended reading to learn about Acadia operation.
