You can try calling Hugh MacLennan in Port Carling, Ont ( Hugh Maclennan and Sons Ltd, I think) . He owns what once was the Seabird factory which used Buchanan engines almost exclusively. It still operates as a marina and he still does valve jobs and other engine repair on Buchanan's. I suspect he has a good collection of hard to find engine parts too. The library in Orillia ( where the Buchanan factory was located) has very little info and I understand that the building which housed the factory is about to be torn down. miro |

You might try Stan Hunter in Milford Bay Ontario (about 5 miles from Port Carling on Lake Muskoka) Stan specializes in restoring Seabird Boats. |

Try Parry Automotive Limited. They still remanufacture these engines and they have the original "build" book from the F.L. Buchanan Company. Contact Glenn via email at [email protected] or call (705) 325-1345. |

I'm almost certain that Parry Automotive has the water pump for you. If they don't have the assembly, they can re manufacture your unit back to factory spec. The contact in the marine parts section is Jeff Tittsall - same tel as above miro |
