In spite of their looks, they are quite a "dry" boat even when the swells are 3-4 ft high.
There are about 200 +, out of a total production run of about 2,300, of the boats still operating
Production started in 1915 and ended in 1956.
Next year is the 100th anniversary of the boat.
The boat like many others is quite low tech, but does need high skill to keep it running.
