Eric, that looks like a stationary version of one of the Detroit-Caille engines. They were sold under other names also. |

it looks like one of the generator engines throttle governed, I agree Detroit family I have something similar buried in the shop |

The timer and the shape of the bottom fo the cylinder look like the Termatt and Monahan branch of the Detroit family. |
