Great News! I have had a four HP lathrop marine stationary engine for a few years set aside as I could not get any compression. With a bunch of help from J.B. Castagnos, the engine ran again for the first time since at least the 1950's! It reportedly ran a ships-railway winch on Martha's Vinyard since new, and then sat derelict outside of the Black Dog restaurant. I hope someone will recognize the engine. The plan is to bring it along to Mystic and run it there. |
