Hi, Recently uncovered this Vinco bronze or copper badge. It has hung in out garage in the same spot of at least 40 years. Has anyone seen one before? Does anyone know if it relates to Vinco marine? Will be looking to sell the item once I can find out a little more about it's origin's. Cheers

Vinco also made boats as well as engines ,that is the transom badge.it was part of a set of three . the other two were mounted either side of the boat on the flare of the bow . they are sort of comet shaped with the letters getting smaller as they progressed down the "tail" of the comet Cheers Todd |

I have a vinco sales booklet that shows one on a trailer being towed by a 1952 Austin Devon. Dont know which had more power ,the car or the boat. |

I helped a friend restore a half cabin of the same vintage that one had a simplex 5/7 in it. we had all the badges re-chromed by Hamilton plating in Newcastle NSW |
