A fisherman friend of mine, who isn't around pulled one cyl. and ran on 5 for years. Anybody know the procedure? I have a blown piston in #5. |

I have had fisherman that used to much either on these 6-71 and blue holes in the pistons, but they still started and went fishing....The only problem, was that there was Oil everywhere, from the blow-buy and he used more oil, than fuel.
If your piston does not have a hole in the top, and or,..another fix, is you can bypass #5 Cylinder, by taking the Crossover fuel lines off and connect the #5 Inlet Fuel Line to the #6 Cylinder Inlet Crossover Fuel Line Connection and the #5 Piston will still have oil lubrication and just go for the ride,..no fuel oil dumping into the Sump...Good Luck |

I forgot to mention, that you want to adjust/back off the #5 Injector Rocker Arm, where it's not Injecting the Injector,..or the Injector will sieze and lock up the Main Fuel Injector Rack, plus take the Injector rack itself out of the Main Rack "Arm" and put it into full fuel, away form the Main Rack. |
