Greetings, I have looked through the extensive number of previous threads to try and find the answer to my question to no avail so thought I would post it here on the board. I have recently acquired a SABB 2JR which is in need of a replacement heat exchange unit. My research so far indicates that a company called Sendure manufacture a replacement unit. Has anyone used a Sendure H/E in a SABB? The company supplying them is based in the USA (Alabama) and I am hoping to confirm that I can get a replacement closer to home (Western Australia). Happy for any assistance or advice. Cheers Simon |

Sabb 2 H heat exchanger- SENDURE. I HAVE A SENDURE- I am not at the boat but I would guess it is about 2-3" OD and maybe 2-2.5 feet long. It keeps my 2H in the 160-200F range depending upon sea water temperature- Now about 70 F in Long Island Sound- East Coast USA. Get the specs on the Sendure and you should be able to find any small heat exchanger that at least matches the size of the recommended SENDURE . Error on the oversize exchanger. The anti freeze side thermostat will control the heat exchanger if it is too large. do not forget to add new anodes. |
