I suspect this would run with a carb and coil.
Needs a water pump, oiler and bottom cover on the crankcase. Good compression fresh water.

Started it the other day. Easy start and ran good. Now on to the water pump.
I see Doug K's post says counter clockwise. This one is clockwise. All a matter of how the cam is timed I suspect.
I used this Loomis carb because it looked good on the engine. Darned if it didn't run good too.

Looked at side view, bracket seems to be different, this is one of the first Dunn's mfgd

Temporary Water Pump
Pump is from some 4 cylinder inboard
Chain and gears are the oil pump drive from a Mazda 6
I suspect something closer to what it had will eventually show up.
At least now I can run it for a longer period of time.
I don't see lubrication as an issue as I can just squirt oil on it along with the rest of the stuff on the aft side of the engine
