One of our members that semed to be an encyclopedia on later enbloc engines has passed on. Lary from Maryland seemed to be able to quote casting numbers, specs and much much more for just about any Hercules, Continental or GM engine. He will be missed here on OME at the Calvert show. Larry was an active farmer in Chaptico, MD not far from Calvert. His obit is here |

I went to the viewing last night. Spoke with Larry's sister Nancy expressing sympathy for her loss from Southern MD. Antique Power Association and Old Marine Engine members. Told her Larry had been a big participant in SMDAPA activities for many years and would be very much missed. Also told her Larry had been a big contributor to OME with its local as well as world wide participants. He had been particularly helpful with his seemingly endless source of difficult to locate engine model numbers and their interpretation as to what their differences meant. Larry also could could explain unique aspects of many of the old time engines. Larry will be missed on OME. |

A real loss to our community of old marine engine lovers. His knowledge will be missed. |
