Does anyone know where I could get a kingfisher aluminum crankcase front half? I am prepping one for my canoe, and found small fractures around the crank drain plug hole. Any leads or advice for repair with old aluminum would be very helpful.

Goodday. Most welding shops have TIG welding machines (Tungston inert gas) It should be a relatiively easy repair. --Good luck Larry H.

Since it doesn't sound to be a structural flaw, you could probably get away with good ol' JB WELD . I know it stands up to heat well, and is routinely used for repairs on crankcases.
You'll need to make sure the repair area is very clean.
Any kind of welding will put enough heat into that casting to potentially cause distortion.
If you go the welding route, take goods measurements of flatness of the mating surfaces before you do it so you'll have a reference.
