I know that many on this web site have made the ignition box using the automotive relay.
I thought you'd like to see what it looks like inside.
You see the contacts that interrupt the current to the ignition coil are nice and big. They are rated at 30 or 40 Amps DC. Most ignition boxes draw about 1 to 1.5 Amps.
