Bukh westerbeke dv10 impeller issue

It has a screw in the middle, but unlike most modern pump the shaft has a threaded hole to secure the impeller with the screw. The problem is that to remove the impeller i need to unscrew the screw, but do not have access to it in between the impeller wings" So short of removing the entire water pump, what can i do?
