Ken, The only place I have seen a part breakdown for that Twin Disc is in the Grey Marine Manual for the 6-71 GM diesel. Some parts are still available thru the Twin Disc parts distributors. |

Ken,..There is a GM 6-71 64HN9 Grey Marine Instruction and Parts Manual on eBay, with the Fold Out Breakdown of the X8708A Gear Box, with all the part numbers and yes a Twin Disc Dealer may have some of the Parts. The manual is on the eBay listing # 260542332381. Good Luck! |

Thank you all for ur input, I found some diagrams from a manuel from Kirk and Hatch. I jus converted a 471 detroit from a Rc to a marine engine, my transmission had a bad lower gear and the forward drive plate was slipping off causing it to stay in forward gear, No Neutal or reverse. Welded the plate to the gear, It cant slip off, its fully operational now.. My old 471 lasted over 25 yrs without the valve cover Ever coming off, she would run monday to friday without a break since 1988,, hoping to get another 20yrs before the next 471 conversion.. |
