I have had this one for a long time, any one seen any info on motors with hollow mufflers? It came from the Minnesota Canada border.

Hi - Do not know the motor, but it has a water jacketed exhaust manifold. Usually these rust wedged apart if salt water cooled and left to dry out. This one looks to have been cut to see the inside - looks choked with rust and mud. If you have a friendly patternmaker and foundry, a new maniold can be cast and then machined. Have cast these in Niresist cast iron but ordinary grey iron is original. Not an easy job.... Possible to fabricate and galvanise but will not last as long as cast iron.

Bill - do a search on Palmer Q-2 and see the water cooled exhaust manifold I made from a bunch of standard pipe fittings and few special parts. It is similar to the one on this engine.
