Speak to Fairways Marine Engineers (UK) 01621 852866. They own the Stuart brand and are Sole's UK distributors |

You can get a manual for the Mini 1 2 and 3 engines by down loading it from Sole's own website |

I have fitted my stewart sole single cyl diesel engine into the boat. It starts very easy but when I am running under load for a short time it stops. The only way to restart is to blead the system. IT could be air getting in but The fuel tank is level with the bottem of the engine. dose it need to gravity fed or is an electric fuelpump be needed. |

Fuel starved. Put the fuel filter so that it gravity feeds. Add a hand squeeze pump at your fuel tank outlet. This will allow you to skip the bleeding process- especially if your tank is near the cockpit. [email protected] |

Hi I am looking at buying a 2 cylinder sole diesel it is raw water cooled everyone I have looked at on the net has a heat exchanger. Did they make raw water cooled motors or has this motor been changed? Thanks John |

I have just restored to running a '77ish 9hp Stuart Sole. I do have the manual. It runs rather well on high grade bio-diesel, no less. Any good ideas on a head gasket? I have a spare rebuilt injector and injector pump, they were rare when I had them done in the nineties. My water pump took jabsco impellers after OEM's were unavailable especially here in the US. Depco pump in Florida has never failed to find me something to fit. |
