I recently brought home a Farymann diesel with a nice made in Finland gearbox behind it. The gearbox has the following on the tag: Suomen Moottoritehdas OY Vaasa Olympia, "Made in Finland," hp MV 10 All I've been able to learn so far is they were also known as Finnish Motor Works and went out of business over the last few years. They built motors and gear or gear reduction transmissions. I would love to know what the devil I have but have run out of ideas where to look. Any ideas? Anyone heard of their gear boxes?? Thank you, Dennis |

Hi Dennis! I was checking something about Pargon transmission from here and I found your question. I'm from Finland, so if you still want to know something about this factory I can try to find out and translate. |
