New to the forum and I dont see a spot to post for a Chrysler outboard. I have a 35hp model 357HA. I see these motors were made from 71-78, is there any way to tell which year mine was manufactured? Apparently I had a seal go in the lower unit after changing the fluid and using it "one more time". I went out to the garage and had oil on the floor and saw the crack. Now i have the opportunity to pick up a 55hp engine that has a good lower unit and the appearance of the lower unit looks identical. I am also wondering if they use the same gears (assuming its the same lower unit). Im trying to get the model number from that engine, but havent received it yet from the seller. |

Vern. You need to post at marineengine.com This site is is generally for inboard engines built prior to World War Two. Try American Outboard Co in Maryland for help with your Chrysler Outboard motor. |
