Hello, I'm new to the forum but I have an interesting piece of literature that I was hoping the knowledgeable folks here could help shed some light on. The book is called "Marine Gasoline Engines: A Practical Treatise" and it was published in 1909 by the Ferro Machine and Foundry Company in Cleveland, Ohio. Apparently it was sort of a definitive work at the time. It is 71 pages total and has a few hundred illustrations. I am looking for any information I can find on it, especially regarding value, as it will be up for sale soon. Any help at all is greatly appreciated. Here are a couple of pictures: http://imgur.com/a/I7OTV#0 Thanks, Andrew |

Your best guide to its value is eBay, and that is also the best way to sell it. A quick search I did just now did not show any other copies listed for sale at the moment. Post a link here if you list it. Or, you could make more people happy and make more money yourself and just scan it at 300 or more dpi and sell the complete scans on a CD or DVD for 5 or 10 dollars each. |

Thanks for the tip. It will probably end up on eBay through the store run by the Larz Anderson Auto Museum. I sell most of their books and automobilia, but it is almost all car related and my boat knowledge is severely. Once it's up for grabs, I'll be sure to post it on here. |
