This engine had a square exhaust outlet,and the manifold was barely usable. I cut a new one from 3/8 steel plate,and have a pipe nipple to attach the exhaust, similar to a newer acadia.I also soaked the cylinder in vinegar for a few days, wire-brushed it, lightly honed inside,and painted it with tractor supply primer and red rustoleum. |

Here is a picture of the Acadia before I got it.One of the mounting plates had broken off the other side, so I took it to an industrial welder and they fixed it.They did say that it was good quality steel or they couldn't have welded it. |
