Hi, I have, up until now a very nice running origional M60 in my Coronado sailboat. I am having fuel problems, unable to keep the engine running, unless the choke is about 3/4 closed. It always starts up just fine. I am going to rebuild the carb again, as its been about 6 years. But I was recently told that my running regular fuel, 10% ethanol, is my issue, as well as it could destroy the engine. I always add in lead attive, and lots of seafoam when I fuel, but acually I only go through about 5 gallons of fuel a season. Is this fuel selection my carb issue??? If so what do you all recommend I burn. This have been a very good, and reliable engine for the twelve years Ive had the boat. I hate the idea I am destroying it. |
