Hi i'm new to this board and my engines are newer than a lot here but I'll ask anyway. I have a pair of B&W Lathrop engines D155-V. Vertical six cylinder engines 298cu.in. of 1968 vintage. I have some missing parts like the turbochargers and a set of injectors. Does anyone have any information about where I may get spares or just identification. I believe they were based on the Hercules engine? Robin |

Hi Gerald, I have now started to replace the D298s with Ford Dover 380cu.in. as the spares were not easily available in South Africa. Fords are easier to come by parts. But if anyone wants a couple of 24v engines, one with PTO, I'm open to offers. Robin |

Hello Robin, Thanks for getting back to me about the D155V engine. These engines were built around Hercules engine blocks. They were in Canton, OH. A web page for basis engine parts can be had at.. www.jobbersinc.com/hercules.htm Good luck to you, Gerald. |

Hi I was in negotiations with Jobbersinc and another company who Hercules gave me details of Kraftwork, but with high shipping costs to South Africa where my boat lies, meant that I would be way out of pocket. The Dover/2725 is still built in Turkey and parts are easily available across the world. I'm moving my boat up to Madagascar soon so spares are going to be an issue. There used to be many South African fishing boats fitted with the Lathrop engine, but now they are "Hoentande" "Hens teeth" A shame because the engines are heavily built and reliable. There must have been a lot of them made for Vietnam, as I am assured that the Vietnamese fishing fleet still runs on war surplus Hercules Robin |

Hi Andris, the three inch twin volutes are no longer available, but the Hx35 is a direct replacement. |
