I have an Volvo MD1B s/n 19975 built in Sweden in 1972 that I am trying to restore to running condition. I recently had the injection pump and injector rebuilt but I can not get the throttle/control lever to run the engine properly. I can not even start the engine with the cold start. My centrifugal governor does not have a governor spring on the control lever like some recent models. Is there a procedure for adjusting the linkage between the governor and the injection pump. I have attached an exploded view of the governor linkage in my engine. Any assistance would be appreciated. Mart G. Schematic of Centrifical Governor GOVERNOR AND INSTALLATION COMPO.pdf (29.1 k) |
