Greetings everyone, This years Switzer Regatta & Hot Boat Rally(Saturday July 16) will be held at THE BIG BASIN MARINA in Channahon Illinois. Starts at 10am, ends whenever were done. River Run at noon,after that, lunch. Then if we feel like it some speed runs for the crowd.
This is an informal get together of HOT BOATERS who own yesteryears sport and race boats, which is also open to any other boat or muscle car that wishes to join us.(New for 2010 & now for 2011; The Motorheads Antique Outboard Motor Club will be joining us setting up a swap meet and exibit)
Bob Switzer of Switzercraft will be there along with Jack Lewis the former builder of Vampire Boats, some of which are still used to race OPC'S Formula V class.Jack is one of the founding members of THE GREAT LAKES BOAT CLUB, which is responsible for OPC races in Region 7.
So come one come all,shine the old or new girl up, and lets have a good time. The only cost to this is to launch your boat if you decide to go in. Bring a picnic dish or Eat at the marinas grill,great sandwiches... Tom Arambasich www.freewebs.com/switzercraftreunionregattas/ |
