I believe the photo misspelled the river
should be "Mermentau", looks to be a very
navigable inlet from the Gulf Of Mexico !

Richard,
My Bateau was built along the Mermentau River in the 1930's.
One day I'll have to go cruise the river, it supposed to be a nice area.
Nice to see a picture of how they transported goods back in
the day. |
