I have this engine in a old century reporter boat. Runs great and is clean. My dad passed and my mom is selling the boat. We do have some wood work needed on the boat, (about 1-2k worth). The engine needs nothing and is pristine. I think my mom is being low balled, as the guy is saying the engine is a fire hazard and is the worst of all grey marine engines. Can anyone help me with what they are worth and is there is a market for it? |

Do you have any photos of it you could send me or post? Regardless of what this person is telling you the engine is not a fire hazard! That has to be one of the silliest things I've heard in a long time. I personally would not separate the engine from the boat. There are many people out there that will buy a project boat especially if the engine is as clean as you say it is. What size is the boat and year? E-mail me: [email protected] |

1-2k $ in woodwork is nothing when it comes to wood boat repair. It must be in relatively good condition. Don't separate the engine from the boat.Where are you located?? |

The boat is a 1956 16ft century resorted runabout. I'll get some pictures of the boat and the engine and post it in here. I'm in Texas but the Boat in in New Hampshire right now. It may be a couple,of days but I'll get those pictures. Thanks for the reply. |
