This ad on eBay shows a timer connected to the eccentric of the water pump. Anyone ever seen a real version of that? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=423&item=2152178195 miro |

A freind has a Belle Isle with this timer setup, fun to watch. The brush makes a circle around the timer base in the opposite direction of crank rotaion. J.B. |

Miro, DuBrie in my collection, Have seen a few others, around with different name tags. Also believe that these were the first Gray engines in 1906 !! |

I have a Brooks that is identical to Richards pic above. The early Grays did not have this style timer. I have one of those as well. They had a simple contact on the rear of the crankshaft with a link to a handle on the upper cylinder. The Gray is smaller than the Dubrie/Brooks and had the mounts on the bottom of the crankcase. |

I will eventually. However right now all you can see is the flywheel. It is on a shelf that I can't reach due to a model RR. It is that time of year. However if you showed up "we" could get it down and take pics. Don't you need to make a trip to Worcester? |

Ernie, I would look foreward to coming by talking about engines and things, moving them and getting some pictures of your special collection, the only draw back is that 1400 Mile one way drive !! My Grandson is doing very well at Worcester Poly Tech, so I will be there one of these days for sure. Am still planning on attending the Calvert show this year, hope you can make it as well. |

Yup Helen and I will be at Calvert. Hey maybe you could get Ford to pay you to come up. That really nice diesel pickup you have has been in the warm weather for so long it might be good r and d to see if it will still start in the cold. By the way you are welcome any time you can get up this way. |
