I am working with John Hansen of Maine Boats & Harbors to put together this exhibition on the history of power in lobsterboats and other small watercraft in Maine. We'll start with the old "one-lungers" and hopefully be able to show many other types of engines, including the larger four-cycle, four and six-cylinder in-line marine engines, and we are looking for a good example of a marine conversion of an automobile engine (or two...) as well. We are also interested in the development of diesel powerplants.

The exhibition will be held as part of the Maine Boats & Harbors Show at the harborfront in Rockland, Maine during August 8-9-10. We would like to have the engines on exhibit during all three days of the show, if that is possible. The magazine is already doing a lot of promotion and I will forward to you a file they sent to me concerning the development of the boat show.
