I have a manuel for this engine volvo md2 and I'm about to take the heads of I have a little water leak in between the cyl it looks like there is some sort of pipe between the cyl I can't find anything in the manuel that says anything about this........does anyone know about it and is it a big deal to raplace it? thanks vince |

thanks for all the help guys..... Now I got that fixed put back together and it's running great....well know for the hard part has anyone heard of or done this I have a 21' bellboy that weaghts about 2200 pounds and I'm wanting to take out the v8 gas sucking engine for this volvo md2.....oh I know I won't go on a plan any more and there goes the speed but I don't care but before I start this reengine......I would like to know if it's posible to do and like to know someones elses expertise of this.... thanks vince |

Anything is possible but I'm not sure you will be happy with this conversion. Are you willing to go from 20+ knots to around maybe five or six? Also you will need a bigger wheel and then maybe a new shaft and then all the expense of a new engine bed and etc. These engines were meant for sailboats to get them in and out of the harbor and maybe power them on a windless afternoon. Personally I wouldn't do it. |

We have a 24' Nidelv Classic with a MD2B. It weights more than 4000 pounds and has a maximum speed of 7 knots. Cruising speed is 5 knots and that's a comfortable speed for travelling on the Dutch waterways. A nice way to relax in a hectic life. |
