Has anyone any information as to how to convert a p-60 currently raw water cooled to fresh water cooled?

Whew ! I hope that you are a crackerjack mechanic. Indigo Electronics makes a kit for the Atomic4 which is similar to the P-60 but the kit utilizes a bracket that the P-60 does not have. You'd have to jury rig a bracket to run one of the pumps. There are a few Palmers that were rigged with fresh water cooling but they are a rare few among a dying breed. In the meantime, setting up a fresh water flush connection is a good move to gain some longevity out of it. |

Moyer marine sells one which also works, the only real challenge is powering the pump. You may need to add a drive pulley. Although I do believe you can now get 12 volt water pumps. |

Conversion to fresh water cooling will require a heat exchanger capable of at least 30 Hp to handle the cooling requirements under load.
You will also require a second water pump capable of at least 10 GPM to circulate sea water thru the heat exchanger and out the exhaust.
