Can anybody please help. I can get fuel to the inlet part of the pump but can't get fuel on the outlet part of the pump. Could this be a problem with the governor or the pump itself.
Also, could the problem be fixed by myself with a bit of mechanical knowledge or would be a specialist job.
Any help would be greatly appreciated |

Not familiar with your pump but in general be sure fuel is coming out of the return line, this means the pump is full. What kind of fuel shut off do you have, a manual lever-cable or an electric solenoid? if a solenoid is it internal or external? If you have a wire going into the pump it's an internal solenoid, you should hear a click when ignition is on and off, if not be sure the wire to it is getting hot. An external solenoid should be obviously engaging when starting. Pictures would help. |

the INJECTOR pump ,starboard side, is made by Bosch. Call a injector repair shop. In CT = Metro Fuel Injection 860-526-5941. Before removal ask this discussion board what to do to insure you can reinstall with proper timing.,
The LIFT PUMP has a 1/4" thick diaphragm that may be weak- for the price of a new one you could get an electric lift pump. |
