Here is a pic of the exhaust elbow that came with my Mercury boat. Mercury was a San Diego based company with no connection to the outboard company. That's about all I know. The elbow is cast aluminum and imprinted with the Mercury boat co. logo. It looks to be specifically engineered to deal wtih condensation after engine shut down. We shall see! Especially since you folks helped me track down the no spart issue. I looked carefully at the distrubutor cap and sure enough it was badly corroded where the wires come out of the cap and a 3/4 inch crack on the inside. New cap, points, condenser on the way from Napa marine. Will keep you posted. Included is a picture of my friend Gary from Sacramento's award winning Mercury inboard. Enjoy, Mike
