Mike,
I got this url from an earlier post on this site

http://www.finewoodboats.com/Gray.htm

You will see that K numbers were 1958. However I have a motor with an engine tag on the Manifold identifying it as a model 620 and a tag on the transmission identifying it as a 4-75. I am wondering if this was common or if one or the other was replaced...and which one is original. Or if perhaps only the manifold was replaced.

Kim,
Your post was most helpful. Thank a bunch! Got the exhaust manifold, carb, and oil color off and ready to lift the engine from the boat. Looks like all is well inside. Keeping my fingers crossed. The manuals arrived today and I read how water gets into these engines. Looks like that's what happened. Siphoned in from the watr intake.
